Alam nating lahat na lumobo na ng husto ang utang ng pilipinas sa ibang mga bansa. Pero ano ba ang pwedeng mangyari, o ano ang pwedeng gawin nila sa pilipinas pag hindi na ito makabayad ng utang?

t's the OFWs who keep the Philippine economy afloat inspite of its negative balance of trade and bankrupt government's deficit balance of payments. It looks like that it is also through the OFWs' billions of dollars annual earnings that the Arroyo regime was able to acquire skyrocketing foreign loans. At the end of the day, will it also be the OFWs who'll be put into blame? Wala na nga maski kapiraso sa Libingan Ng Mga Bayani, magiging bagsakan pa ng sisi?!

Now Gloria allies contrary to claims made by some of her alipores last weekend, House Speaker Prospero Nograles insisted Monday that efforts to tinker with the 1987 Philippine Constitution are not yet dead - at least not officially. Speaker Nograles said he will consult with House leaders this week on whether there is still enough time to push HR 1109 or CON-ASS on the agenda. "This week, I hope we will be able to call a political leaders' caucus, today or tomorrow or at the latest on Wednesday. Huhusgahan namin (We will then assess our options)," he said. |

For the information heres the 24 countries heavily indebted poor countries so far under WORLBANK & IMF mostly from Africa. These countries are: Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guyana, Honduras, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Niger, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
If you are familiar with Honduras,,, last June 28, 2009 soldiers ousted the democratically elected president of Honduras on Sunday and Congress named a successor. The first military takeover of a Central American government in 16 years, President Manuel Zelaya was awakened Sunday by gunfire and detained while still in his pajamas, hours before a constitutional referendum many saw as an attempt by him to stay in Power beyond the one-term limit. An air force plane flew him into forced exile in Costa Rica as armored military vehicles with machine guns rolled through the streets of the Honduran capital and soldiers seized the national palace. Pres. Zelaya's overthrow came hours before polls were to open on a constitutional referendum that he was pushing ahead even after the Supreme Court and the attorney general said it was Illegal. The constitution bars changes to some of its clauses, such as the ban on a president serving more than one term, they said. |

It might be? If the next President same like (Gloria the Utangera) within 18 years we belong to the heavily indebted poor countries. Why? Just take a look in the analysis,,, from E. Aguinaldo to Erap Estarda total debt US$ 41.82 billion dollars, during Erap admin his debt only US$ 2.39 billion dollars in 2 1/2 years. Gloria take over last 2001 and now latest debt US$ 88.842 billion dollars. Gloria's utang US$47B up to next year maybe US$50B + next pres. in 6 year US$50B in 2016 + next president US50B in 2022 + next president US$50B in 2028 we belong to heavily indebted poor countries.
As of now we belong to third developing countries second to Indonisia, we're very thankful that there is country like Indonisia with total debt of US$140 billion dollars that is why we're 2nd placer. If ur familiar with Bangladesh country their Total Debt US$21 billion dollars only, their Government stop borrowing from IMF & WB, they said,,, kahit anong hirap susuungin nila huwag lang silang mangutang. But they are very lucky becoz oil rich country nagbibigay ng donation sa kanila dahil silay muslim. Aside from 24 countries under IMF & WB heres the countries have entered but not completed the heavily indebted poor countries process. A further ten countries have reached the first stage ('Decision Point') of the heavily indebted poor countries process, at which point they receive some relief on debt repayments. These countries are: Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo (Congo Kinshasa), Republic of Congo (Congo Brazzaville), Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Haiti and Liberia. Togo is the latest entrant to this group. We're so lucky the Philippines not n d list.

The answer is very simple the Worlbank and IMF will take-over but prior to that, forgiveness and repudiation or a state being repudiated esp. the refusal of public authorities or pay a debt. This section addresses two distinct approaches to debt relief for sovereign nations, debt forgiveness by creditors and debt repudiation by debtors. Our discussion of debt forgiveness begins by exploring the sources of foreign debt and the controversy surrounding debt relief. Investigation will take effect whos behind it, wheres the audit system, what project they implemented? After the investigation the Committee from IMF and WB will submit the report. If its proven that over spending from the administration or previous administration (kulong ang dapat makulong). We outline the development of the popular debt-relief movement and describe the programs that multilateral lenders, such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), have implemented to provide debt relief to the poorest countries or heavily indebted poor countries. Now there are 24 countries from North & South Africa under IMF & WB heavily indebted poor countries program.
But in the case of the Philippines, were very far because our debt US$88,842,105,263.16 Billion dollars (US$47 billion Gloria alone), we have income, we have dollar reserve from OFW, we have export and most of all we are educated country. But if the debt umabot sa US$250 Billion dollars,,, we belong to the heavily indebted poor countries but I'm not sure of that amount becoz theres a changes by G8 in 1996 program of heavily debted poor countries. If a country finds itself helpless to pay their debts like what happened in Mexico in 1982, an event that affected all the international community, it does not have the possibility of calling a judge to establish some compromise conditions which take into account. |
