BETTER LATE THAN NEVER DAW....i know its too late for me to post my reply here...pero di late ung bati ko sa Nanay ko ng happy mother's day...
like everyone else here in kahayag....mahal nila ang mga magulang nila...I am one of them na nagmamahal sa tunay na pinanggalingan..
ill share the song that my mom taught me when i was in grade 1 when i sang on stage for mother's day..
here's the lyrics.... (its not complete anymore pero nakatatak sa puso ko ibig sabihin ng bawat kataga nito)

My mother suffered a stroke. I know just being there is going to be the biggest contribution I can make to aid my mother during the grief she is going to experience... the grief she has to go through. The truth is i'm very far, it is not going to be the words that comfort my mother... it is our love that will see her through this suffering. It will be the touch of our hand that leads her back from her despair. It will be our soft smile and sparkling eyes that penetrate and dissipate her suffering. I wish that my mother will be totally cured and to all mother in the world who suffered from illness.

Sabi ni ermat, ang birthday ko ay birthday naming dalawa. Na sa aking pagsilang ay muli rin siyang isinilang mula sa bingit ng kamatayan habang nanganganak. May pag-ibig bang hihigit pa sa pagtataya ng sariling buhay para sa supling na isinisilang?

You are right pareng vinc8nt, mothers use much of their time and energy 24/7. Everyday, they take care of their babies and make sure everybody in the family is well taken care of. They hardly think about themselves, most of the time. That's why mothers are so Respected. Everybody loves their mothers.

My mother was, and is always there to guide me. Regardless of her opposition to my and my siblings major decisions in life, we both end up doing it with her full support and respect because she know in that way we grow. Truly enough, we learned and grew independent. In every trouble, she's always there to comfort us. In every success, she's always there to be proud of us. I am very proud of her own brand-of-care that no worldclass caregiver could beat; whenever we are sick, she never ever left us unattended. And as long as possible she's always beside us, watching us 24/7 or at least someone she trusts is there attending her patient. Whenever we are away, she never stops praying for us. We just wonder some miracles happening to us, some trouble are being postponed because of her prayers to us. That's why whatever my mother would ask me, even it means a miracle, I would have ask for a miracle to make it happen.

you are absolutely right nat. i am so lucky that i have a mom like my mom. whew! i am so proud to have her. she is the best of the best. she is a real mom. she's been a mom to me for 24 years imagine that. she wakes me up every morning just to take my breakfast which she already prepared for me. she calls me on time during lunch break to eat my lunch. eventhough shes in her office during the day and is so busy with work, she always have time to go out and buy some snacks for me everyday. she always let us eat first before her during meal time to make sure that nkkain na mga anak nya. pinaplantsa nya mga damit ko kahit pmbahay lng bago ko sinusuot. then when she sees my kuko sa paa at kamay na mdyo mahaba na cgro sa tingin nya but pra sa akin,i don't care, naku! she will let me sit down at tlgang ini nail cutter nya kuko ko. everytime she sees me that im sweating, cya pa mgpapahid ng sweat ko at bibihisan nya ako ng bagong damit. ganyan cya to me sa loob ng 24 years. my goodness. cya naglalaba ng mga damit nmin. 7 pa nmn kami mgkkapatid. almost all work chores sa bahay inako nya para sa amin kc ayaw nya kami mapagod at magtiis. ganyan nya kami kamahal. she did all of those sacrifices sa loob ng 33 years kaya we grew up na wlang alam sa trabaho. but anyway, natututo na kami now sa sariling sikap at tyaga. mom and my father have been married for 33 years. and we are so lucky that until now, our family is still intact, complete and is pretty alright. |

You'r lucky that you have a loving mother. One way of dealing with it is to be a very nice and loving daughter. Hope your mother say that her children is the best in the world! I say you all live together as one big happy family. Make sure that the assisted living home is within a good distance that your brod and sis can visit her whenever they can. Keep in touch with her constantly, and she will be happy.
@ iresh: It is nice to hear that your mother is the "kindest person in the world". She loves you and she wants you to have a good life.

My suggestion is to reinforce your act of love by telling them that you really, really love them and go ahead and show them how.

Mother's day is a special day addressing to all the mothers around the world. It would be a celebration which will be dedicated to all the mothers for their unlimited and unconditional love to us. It would be a day of expressing ourselves to our mothers how we care for them, how we love them and how we value them much to our lives! So for those who can't express themselves to their mom how they love them, this coming may 9 would be the day for you guys to say it to your mom that you love her very much. since action speaks louder than words, do some actions that could touched your mom's heart. even just a single hug from you matters her so much and could be her best memorable moment from you. I admit that i am one of those people who are not that expressive esp.with regards to my parents. i cant even remember if i had able to say "i love you" to my mom and father even just for once. I think i haven't said that yet to them ever. I am just not confident and comfortable to tell them that i love them. I feel so shy of telling them that. I dont know why. But anyway, i let them feel how i love them thru my actions and concerns. They know that and i know they appreciate that for sure.
Since i am an OFW and is far way from my mom, i would surely send a message to her this coming May 8 at 11:59pm thru my mobile phone to greet her a happy mother's day and only that. heheh! Well, mom and I talk here in the internet via yahoo messenger everyday, 3-4 times a day. So by that, it's just like i am celebrating mother's day everyday thru expressing myself on how i love her not merely by saying "i love you" but by sharing to her all my happenings here. I considered "sharing" as an act of expression in loving and giving importance to a person.
I would like to end this sharing of mine by reminding all of you that mother's day is not just the day of appreciation, giving importance, and expressing ourselves to our mothers how we love them much but instead as possible as you can, do it everyday...
